Collection of letters written and collected by Brigadier General P.V.P. Stone. concerning a proposed memorial in Le Verguier, France to the men of the 24th Division fallen in the First World War. The letters reveal the difficulties in setting up the memorial in the originally propsed site and its site being changed to Battersea Park, London. A minor memorial was later erected in Le Verguier.
