Description

An annotated sketch map detailing the movements of advance and retreat of the Imphal Battle of 1944 from March to November. The Battle of Imphal was part of the Burma Campaign, battles fought by the British Army in Burma against Japanese Imperial forces and local allies during World War II. The red lines indicate the Japanese troop movements while the blue advance lines indicate the British and Indian troops. The locations of the 31st Division, 15th Division, and the 33rd Division are also shown on the map. A key resides near the bottom right explaining the lines for advance and retreat.
