Description

A coloured pamphlet map concerning what was once part of the German/Prussian Empire, titled 'B.V. Map 4' in English. Today, this area is an enclave of Russia. It is published by Benzol-Verband, now known as B.V. Aral, an automobile fuel and petrol station company. Inside the pamphlet gives an explaination of the sybmols including: main thorough fares, railroads, petrol stations, and other automobile services. This map highlights some areas like Elbing, Marienwerder, Königsberg, and Insterburg. It is part of a series of 14 corresponding maps also detailing other parts of Germany. The inside of the pamphlet gives an explaination of the symbols used on the map along with a detailed account of the area in German. The backside of the pamphlet shows the map. A key in German is located at the bottom along with a scale indicating one centimeter to 5 kilometers, or a scale of 1 : 500,000.
