Description
Black embroidered frieze, blue fringe along bottom edge, embroidered Britannia badge (the symbol of the Royal Norfolk Regiment) in the middle with blue silk fringe around the edge. Probably a decorative edgeing for a shelf or mantlepiece. Part of collection of items relating to Drummer Thomas George Reeves Parker of the 2nd Battalion, Royal Norfolk Regiment, who was killed between 26 May and 04 June 1940 at the age of 25, probably during the massacre at Le Paradis. He is buried at Le Paradis War Cemetery, France.
