The Normandy Veterans Association 1944 was created in 1981 to encourage comeradship and promote contacts between former comerades. The map os orientated with South at the top. It depicts the initial assault force of the second British Army in the invasion of Normandy inclulding brigaades/infantries, divisions, and corps of the joined forces. In the top right corner is a scale with roughly a centimeter for half a mile. The map acknowledges that it was made with the assistance of the Imperial War Museum (Reading Room) for this compilation.
