During his time in Malaya, Private Wright showed outstanding endurance, fortitiude, courage and/consideration for his comrades. His conduct under the circumstances was in the highest traditions of/his Regiment, but his feats were unknown to his Commanding Officer because Private Wright had been/officially posted missing, believed killed, at Rengit, Malaya on 27 January 1942.
