Description
Malayan knife, a bade-bade, a cutting tool that could also be used as a dagger. Hilt: cone-shaped green horn, hollowed at butt, (tang visible perhaps an insert is missing), tapers sharply to brass rings and steel ferrule integral to blade. No guard. Blade: slightly curved , slender, sharpened on inside edge which rises to the rounded back-edge to form a point. Scabbard: 2 piece wooden tube with extension on 1 side to enclose part of the hilt. Green horn chape with single white bone/ivory band. Much mended.
