Description
Manuscript account of actions and activities of the 2nd Battalion Royal Norfolk Regiment from 10th April 1940 to 27th May 1940 by Major R.J. Hastings. Written in 1941 with additional notes made in 1945. The 1945 annotations include the note that the reoprt was written in terms that would enable the author to keep the record when it was read by his German captors, rather than being destroyed. Includes a later letter regarding the trial of Kochlin and expressing surprise that the Le Paradis could have happened, bearing in mind the calibre of the SS troops that he had any dealings with at the time, and reply from the legal team.
