Description
A caricature of Captain D. I Atkins dressed as postman on a bicycle with a sack and with the title "I don't have to do this for a living you know!" In album of caricatures with humourous captions depicting officers of the 2nd Battalion, Royal Norfolk Regiment whilst in Burma 1944. Drawn on white paper which is stuck into the scrapbook with a description: Capt D. I. Atkins. "Bumble" was commissioned in the field at Kohima. Son of a famous C.S.M., he was acknowledged the Bn Munchausen. A Post Office engineer while on Reserve, he would not admit to a "little red boike". "It's purely platonic"
