Description

A caricature of Capt S.J. Hynes, RAMC, he is shown in just a pair of blue shorts holding a black ring - he is incredibly pale and very thin with all of his ribs showing, the image is called "Send for a Doctor!" In an album of caricatures with humourous captions depicting officers of the 2nd Battalion, Royal Norfolk Regiment whilst in Burma 1944. Drawn on white paper which is stuck into the scrapbook with the description: CAPT S.J. HYNES, RAMC. Syd, or "Belsen", was M.O. during 1945. He proved that you cannot both drink and womanise. It is not <underlined> true that he left the medical profession to be "Thin Man" with Bertram Mills. "PEEPERS, BOOPERS, DROOPERS. SUPER-BOOPERS, BOOPER-DROOPERS, SUPER-BOOPER-DROPPERS, ELEPHANTS' EARS"
