Map T.C.87 Baghdad-Sakhlawiyah

Grid map of Baghdad, Iraq dated 3 March 1917. This map would have been used during the Fall of Baghdad on the 11th of March, 1917. A small reference is given near the bottom left corner explaining the symbols for tombs, ancient and disused canals, heights in feet above M.S.L, and the desert. Orange pencil is used to underline important cities and areas of importance to the previous owner. A handwritten note on the reverse states "Baghdad 1917."
