Drawing, 'Richard Jones of the Norwich Theatre in the role of Sir Francis Faddle' by Ebenezer Gerard (1790-1826), watercolour, pencil and bodycolour on paper, undated; 25 cm x 17.9 cm; inscription in ink on reverse 'Richard Jones of the Norwich Theatre in the character of Sir J. Francis Faddle in the farce 'For England Ho' painted by E. Gerard of Norwich. / Mr Jones afterwards went to Covent Garden and was the author of a farce in two acts 'Too late for dinner''; inscription in pencil on reverse 'about 1821 he became a teacher of elocution and died in 1851 aged 74'; inscription in pencil what appears to be a fragment of the text of the play
